The Lingering

 

Jig dolls were used by buskers to entertain people in pubs and street corners. Less refined than their puppet cousins, their movements less controlled being moved by a stick that would have been attached to their back. Their feet and limbs could be made to move but their exact movements could not be predicted.

 

Working with driftwood, carving into and controlling the shape in parts but not in others. Preserving some of the wild in the human figure.
