Initially I was interested in the make do and mend ethos that was encouraged and embraced after the second world war. This attitude is sorely in need of revival to reduce the damage we are causing to the environment. Two houses build with methods of making and mending associated with the home. One Knitted and one sewn.

 

Throughout this year, a year spent more at home, a more introspective time, these pieces have developed a new layer. Embedded with their past but rebuilt. Both a tribute to nature triumphing over man made.
